Yeung (5) – Bartimaeus

Bartimaeus is persistent, and also refers to Jesus as the Son of David.

Thought: If a blind man knows this much, how much do other people (e.g. the Woman who touched His garment) know?

Pg. 181
Yeung says that Bartimaeus’ faith was obviously miracle-salvation faith, because he not only sought healing from Jesus, but also regarded Jesus as the “long-awaited Messiah who would bring salcation to Israel by defeating all ememies.”

Apparently in Jewish tradition, the blind were banned from God’s presence. So we once again have a “purity” issue.
