The greatest need of humanity is not …
. . . happiness, joy, contentment, pleasure, sehnsucht, bliss . .
. . . nirvana, mukhti, moksha, fanaa, satori, cosmic oneness, the numinous . . .
. . . self-realization, self-actualization, self-fulfillment, self-annihilation, self-abnegation, . . .
. . . girl-friend, boy-friend, husband, wife, lover, or any “you complete me” person . . .
. . . soul-mate, mind-friend, kindred soul, kindred spirit, muse . . .
. . . friends, family, house, car, dog on the yard, . . .
. . . character, virtue, well-being, wholesomeness, . . .
. . . good deeds, great achievements, phenomenal accomplishments, . . .
No, rather the greatest need of humanity is forgiveness of sins from a holy God, and this can only be found on the Cross.
*Note – I am not saying that all of the above are bad. Some of them are good. However . . . one takes priority . . .
